Dr. Eduardo Montaña is dual Board Certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and Board Eligible in Preventive Medicine, making him one of the few pediatric cardiologists nationwide. diagnosis, management and treatment of pediatric cholesterol disorders. Dr. Montaña completed all of his training in Preventive Medicine and Pediatric Cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine and his Master of Public Health at Emory’s world-renowned Rollins School of Public Health. He received his residency training in General Pediatrics at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Montaña has served at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Center for Environmental Health and Health Promotion, in the Epidemiological Intelligence Service EIS Program). He later served on the faculty of Emory University School of Medicine, in the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology, and remains an active staff member at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Montaña’s interest in Health Policy led to his appointment as a member of the Executive Board of the National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) and five years as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Hispanic Health Coalition. HHCGA, a nonprofit organization whose mission includes promoting health equity and health access for minority populations, led him to be an advocate for health disparities research and a supporter of the national standard Culturally and Linguistically Competent (CLAS) for all clinical and preventive activities funded by the federal government. services Under his leadership at the national and regional levels, Dr. Montaña has been instrumental in making preventive health education a central topic for families and the health care debate.

Dr. Montaña earned his Master’s in Health Care Administration and Management from the University of Colorado Health Care Business Executive School. and Subspecialty Medicine that emphasizes quality outcomes within a Prevention and Health Promotion network.
